Roadworks
Limen’s Civil Division delivers the ultimate in state-of-the-art road-building techniques and technology. From multi-lane highways to city streets, we take pride in our complete roadwork capabilities and successful roadwork construction.
You see our work at every turn. From Hwy 410 to the Don Valley Parkway to your neighbourhood, we have had a hand in building and repairing the major highways and city streets in and around the GTA and beyond.
Our employees and on-site supervisors have decades of hands-on experience. Our engineers and technicians ensure that all phases of each project are feasible, problem-free, and properly scheduled through the study of project sites and specification details prior to each job.
Our specialized equipment, such as concrete slip forming and asphalt milling, allows us the flexibility to coordinate this work without the dependency on subcontractors.
Bridge construction and restoration
Building, repairing and refurbishing bridges is a highly specialized and exclusive field.
Over the years, we have taken pride in the art and science of bridge building, proving ourselves on a steadily increasing host of projects. We’ve developed the engineering knowledge, practical in-house knowhow and advanced specialty equipment to complete structural projects of any size. Our broadly based experience with both new bridge construction and rehabilitation of all types of existing structures speaks both to our overall abilities and our ever-widening range of expertise.

Culverts and drainage
At Limen’s Civil Division, our approach to culverts and drainage is rooted in precision engineering, robust infrastructure design, and proven field performance. We specialize in the installation, rehabilitation, and replacement of culverts ranging from reinforced concrete box structures to steel and precast pipes, designed to channel water efficiently under roadways, embankments, and other critical infrastructure. Drawing on industry best practices, we ensure each culvert is carefully sized for optimal hydraulic flow, properly bedded with high-quality granular material, fully backfilled to achieve structural stability, and protected against erosion and scour. Our systems are designed to meet stringent regulatory standards, support effective stormwater management, and promote long-term durability. With our in-house equipment and skilled crews, Limen delivers turnkey drainage solutions that enhance site safety, maintain roadway integrity, and integrate seamlessly into broader infrastructure networks.
Sewers and watermains
Limen’s underground construction capabilities span from small service installations to large trunk sewers and feedermains. Our team is experienced in both greenfield developments and complex mainstreet projects. With a highly skilled management team and expert site crews, we have the technical expertise to execute work in challenging environments, navigating existing underground utilities, watercourses, and high-traffic intersections with precision.
In collaboration with major developers, Limen has played a key role in sewer and watermain construction across Southern Ontario. Our portfolio includes numerous local improvement projects for the towns of Alliston, Halton Hills, Meaford, Orangeville, and Tottenham; the cities of Mississauga and Brampton; the regions of Halton and Peel; and the counties of Dufferin and Wellington.
All projects are executed using Limen’s own personnel and equipment, without reliance on subcontractors, ensuring full control over quality, safety, and timely delivery.
Asphalt paving, curbs, and sidewalks
Limen has always taken pride in the asphalt we produce and place. The roadways and parking lots we pave are our final signature on quality work and we ensure it is of the highest quality.
We have been recognized for our quality by the Ontario Hot Mix Producers Association who presented Limen with the Excellence in Asphalt Paving award in 2005 and by the Ministry of Transportation who presented us with the Regional Award for Hot Mix Paving Contractor of The Year in 2005.
Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation has named Limen Paver of the Year.
“In recognition of meeting stringent performance standards while finishing a provincial contract, Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation has named Limen Paver of the Year. The local company, located at 290 Clarence St., garnered top honours for completing its pavement rehabilitation work on Highway 10/Hurontario Street seven months a head of schedule. The contract, initially slated to be complete over 10 months, was worth $3.6 million and covered an 8.4-kilometre stretch from King Street in Caledon to just south of Forks of the Credit Road. The project included milling, paving, drainage, curb and gutter construction, shoulder grading, and installation of a steel beam guide rail and electrical detectors. Construction on the 8.4 –kilometre stretch of road began last August and concluded on Nov. 20.”
Our work includes parking lots for large and small private industrial developments, Ministry commuter parking lots, small rural roads and large urban highways.
We have the capabilities and equipment to remove and replace asphalt immediately, causing very little interruptions to the surrounding businesses and traffic.
