Project: Wellington Building
Location: Ottawa, ON
Owner: Public Works and Government Services Canada
Heritage Consultant (Prime): NORR Architects
(Sub): Fournier Gersovitz Moss and Associates Architects
(Masonry Conservator): Trevor Gillingwater, TG Conservation Services Inc.

This building was constructed during the 1920’s and currently houses the administration of the House of Commons (Human Resources and Finance).

This project was executed out over a two year period.

The exterior repairs included the removal and reinstallation of the existing limestone and brick masonry units. New stainless steel anchors were installed to refasten the large original limestone units.

The interior repairs include the removal and cataloguing of the existing heritage marble wall panels and marble floor pavers.

Exterior and interior openings were performed by the Consultant with the assistance of our stonemasons as part of an exploratory investigation.

System scaffold access was built at various locations inside and outside of the building to facilitate the investigations.
